📒 Summary + Notes
🍯 Stickability
Opportunity has the sly habit of slipping in through the back door, and often it becomes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat.
When you have an idea that you genuinely think is good, but an investor turns the idea down in doubt of it becoming profitable, do not give up on that idea and keep trying to sell it.
Colonel Sanders the founder of fast food restaurant KFC, was turned down 1,009 times! Before succeeding in starting up his Kentucky Fried Chicken establishment which is now worth today roughly $8 billion! Persistence is key, follow through with an idea, if it has flaws, fix them.
🗣️ The Law of Attraction
Our brains become magnetised with the dominating thoughts which we hold in our minds, and these “magnets” attract to us the forces, the people, the circumstances of life which harmonise with the nature of our dominating thoughts.
The saying “you are what you eat” is similar to “you are what you think”. Your mindset is your most powerful tool in any given situation, a positive, open mind, has the potential to learn whilst a pessimistic, closed mind, has the negligence of learning and being considerate.
🐝 The 14 Principles to Success
1. Desire
The starting point of all achievement is desire.
Imagination
If you do not see great riches in your imagination, you will never see them in your bank balance.
Your dreams require visualization the make them a reality.
- Estabilish in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. – $1 million.
- Determine specifically what you are willing to give to attain your goal. – Time and money.
- Set a firm deadline for acquiring your definite goal. – 2022.
- Create, and immediately implement, regardless of your readiness-a concrete plan for attaining your desire.
- Condense your response to #1-4 and write them in a clear, concise statement.
- Repeat this statement to yourself out loud two times a day-once just before bed and once soon after waking up. As you recite the affirmation, see, feel, and believe yourself already in possession of your desire.
Personal Successful Equation
There is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.
2. Faith
Faith is an emotion; a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind, through principle of auto-suggestion.
The 3 key emotions: 1. Faith 2. Love 3. Sex
- Not only can I achieve my definite chief aim, but I will achieve it, so I promise to take consistent action to attain it.
- Acknowledging that my dominant thoughts will become reality, I commit to focusing 30 minutes each day on a clear mental picture of who I most want to become and what my life looks like when I have achieved this desire.
- Recognizing the whatever desire I focus upon will seek expression in physical form, I will spend 10 minutes every day insisting my subconscious that I am self-confident.
- Having written down my definite chief aim in life, I promise myself that I will never stop trying to achieve it.
- I commit to basing all my efforts on a love of humanity and an intolerance for the lower emotions such as hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism. I will decline any opportunity that does not benefit all parties involved, realizing that service to others is the surest way to build allies and attain success.
Fake it ’til you make it
Throughout the day, state your desire to your subconscious mind as though you are already in possession of it. Describe in detail what your life looks like once your desire has been attained. The visualization activity will enhance your self-confidence and your faith.
3. Autosuggestion
Formulating your own vision and repeatedly revisiting that vision to ensure you have a clear sight of what your goals and ambitions are.
This can be done by creating a statement with affirmations of your goals, by repeating this statement describing your vision, you’re embedding the visualization deeper into your brain allowing you to unlock full focus on that goal and vision.
4. Specialised Knowledge
The way of success is the way of continuous pursuit of knowledge.
Knowledge is only potential power. It becomes power only when, and if, it is organised into definite plans of action, and directed to a definite end.
Mastermind Groups
Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy, you have to learn a bunch of skills. Sometimes you may need help with certain areas from people who are more specialised and experienced in the categories you are weak in. It’s best to work with people smarter than you and have different roles for people to specialise in specific areas of the company because you simply can’t manage everything on your own. Big companies always have roles set out.
💳 Purchasing Knowledge
Those wanting to supplement their knowledge should:
- Identify the gaps in your knowledge
- Determine the purpose for which you want to obtain this knowledge
- Discover where it can be obtained from reliable sources
Reliable sources might include:
- Personal experience and past formal education
- The experience and education of others (your mastermind group)
- Colleges and universities
- Public libraries
- And special training courses (e.g., night school and home study programs).
5. Imagination
Man’s only limitation lies in the development and use of his imagination.
🧠 The workshop of the mind
An idea is an impulse of thought that impels actions, by an appeal to the imagination.
6. Organised Planning
Your achievement can be no greater than your plans are sound.
🦺 Building practical plans
- The most intelligent man living cannot succeed in accumulating money, nor in any other undertaking, without plans which are practical and workable.
A mastermind group is the secret to developing and refining practical plans, the necessary ingredient to translate desire into material riches. Every plan should either be jointly created or evaluated and approved by the group member. The following are steps for creating practical plans:
- Build a mastermind group that will provide you all the necessary support to create and/or execute your plans.
- Determine what assistance and expertise you can provide in exchange for group members’ cooperation and insight.
- Schedule meetings with this group at least twice per week
- Ensure that perfect harmony is maintained between group members.
The Power of Persistence
Remember when your plans fail, that temporary defeat is not permanent failure. It may only mean that your plan has not been sound. Build other plans. Start all over again.
A quitter never wins, and a winner never quits.

10. The Mystery of Sex Transmutation
The desire for sexual expression is far by the strongest and most compelling of all human emotions, and for this very reason the desire, when harnessed and transmuted into action, other than that of physical expression may raise one to the status of genius.
The Great Motivator
- When driven by sexual desire, men develop keenness of imagination, courage, will-power, persistence, and creative ability unknown to them at other times.
Hill discovered that individuals who had reached the apex of success shared two unique traits: they had what he calls a “highly developed sex nature,” and they were motivated by the influence of someone to whom they were sexually attracted to. For such individuals, these two forces serve as a major source of action for them, energizing them to implement their definite plans and persevere through challenging times. Sex, as one of the three great positive emotions (along with love and faith), induces a state of mind conducive to attracting riches, material, and otherwise.

Love, Romance, and Sex are all emotions capable of driving men to heights of super achievement.
11. The Subconscious Mind

The Blueprint for Riches
- Thoughts are truly things for the reason that every material thing begins in the form of thought-energy.
12. The Brain
Every human brain is both a broadcasting and receiving station for the vibration of thought./
13. The Sixth Sense
Understanding of the sixth sense comes only by meditation through mind development from within.
It’s Not About Miracles
- Through the aid of the sixth sense, you will be warned of impending dangers in time to avoid them, and notified of opportunities in time to embrace them.
The sixth sense is that mode of perception known as the creative imagination. It produces new knowledge that is received by the mind as a hunch, or inspiration. If you’ve ever had a “near miss” while driving a car and had an inclination that inspired you to avoid an accident, you’re familiar with this mechanism. The exact methodology by which the creative imagination operates is unknown, but it is clear that it is both mental and spiritual in nature.
14. How to Outwit the Six Ghosts of Fear
Thought impulses of fear and poverty cannot be translated into terms of courage and financial gain.
The Six Basic Fears
Fears are nothing more than state of minds.
In order to implement the 13 success principles effectively, you must extinguish three enemies that thwart the system’s functioning: indecision, doubt, and fear. These three negative states of mind are interrelated: indecision hardens into doubt, which then becomes fear. They are extremely insidious because they attack the subconscious and, as such, often grow while resisting detection. Although they are intangible forces that exist only in the mind, they wreak more havoc on humankind than any “real enemy.
In order of most to least common, the six basic fears are:
- Fear of poverty
- Fear of critisism
- Fear of ill health
- Fear of loss of love
- Fear of old age
- Fear of death
Any other fear not listed can be categorized into one of these broader groups. The first three are responsible for most of the worries in the world, but the dominance of one or more fears in society is a cyclical phenomenon: times recession augment the fear of poverty, while times of pandemic heighten the fear of ill health and death.
